Derek Lee is a Los Angeles–based wardrobe and fashion stylist and costume designer with three decades of experience across commercials, television, film and music. His work includes campaigns for Amazon, Google, Adidas and McDonald’s, alongside collaborations with Céline Dion, Samuel L. Jackson, Pharrell Williams and Aaliyah.

Raised in New York City’s East Village, Derek was introduced to fashion by his mother, Essence Magazine fashion editor Ionia Dunn-Lee Cisse, before studying menswear design at the Fashion Institute of Technology. His creative partnership with Aaliyah helped define some of her most memorable looks—images that continue to influence fashion today.

His television credits include Ridiculousness, Deliciousness and FABLife, with costume design for films including Shelter and Vicious Circle. Across every project, Derek combines a distinctive eye with an understanding of production, creating wardrobe that serves the story and feels authentic to the person wearing it.
